Clothing: A good rule of thumb is to wear one extra layer of clothing. For example, on top put a windbreaker over a long sleeved shirt. On the bottom, wind pants or polar fleece pants are a good choice over shorts. Polar fleece fabric dries out quickly if it gets wet.  If you get too warm, you can always remove an item or two.  Try not to wear jeans or cotton shirts. They're not ideal for sailing.  Both get awfully cold when they're wet, and tend to stay cold for a good long time.

Footwear: White or light soled shoes are available on the boat.  Please avoid wearing dark soled shoes as they will leave black scuff marks on the boat.

Accessories:  Be sure to bring your sunglasses, sunblock and a hat or baseball cap.  A cord around your neck will keep sunglasses and hat from falling overboard.

Available on Boat:  Life jackets, gloves, white soled shoes, and ice.  The boat is equipped with a private bathroom (called a "head").

And of course, don't forgot your camera for those great memorable shots.

Food & Drinks:  Bring enough snacks and drinks for yourself and your own guests. Water is always a good idea so you won't get dehydrated.  Beer and wine is okay to bring, too.

Sea Sickness:  Avoid greasy or acidic foods, if possible.  Also, avoid going down in the cabin when you're sailing. Ginger is a great natural remedy.  Sailors' Secret (capsules of powdered ginger) is available in stores.  Wristbands are also a good alternative to Dramamine or Bonine (which tend to make people really drowsy).
